Celebrating Ryan | Newborn Photographer, Wilmington, NC

Whoever said newborns sleep all the time, never met Ryan! This sweet baby was awake the entire 3 hrs. Do you know when he faded off to sleep? When I was packing up my stuff and heading out the door - and of course by then - all my light was gone. He was pretty content anyway - and still let me play!

This was a cradle that grandpa made for Maddie for her dolls. When I saw it - I had to see if Ryan fit! I love big brother and sister's expressions here. He won't fit for long!

This was right before I left - doesn't look sleepy yet, does he! Thanks for looking - and don't forget to tell Ivy and Alex what beautiful children they have!

Celebrating Braden | Newborn Photographer in Wilmington, NC

Only 8 days old and full of sweetness! So content - a pure joy!
I love the feet here!

Doesn't he look peaceful? It's hard work being a newborn. I love baby yawns.
Proud big brother and sister look after him.

This sweet boy had the craziest hair I've ever seen - and I love seeing it in this picture. Sweet, sweet, sweet!

Thanks Becky and Jason for letting me celebrate this beautiful baby boy with you. You are so blessed.

Celebrating Milestones - Noah is 4 months old! | Baby photographer, Wilmington, NC

You met Noah and his family when he was warm in Tre`s belly and again when he was just a few days old. http://danajacksonphotography.blogspot.com/2008/10/noah-is-here.html
Now, Noah is 4 months old. He is such a happy baby, loved to give smiles (though was a bit stingy with them when the camera was out!). I had so much fun seeing him play with Tigger, eat my blankets, try really hard to eat his toes, and try with all his might to sit up - hello - he's only 4 months old!

I just love, love his big eyes in this shot!
Could he be any more perfect? Pure sweetness!
I wasn't even going to try for any sleeping pictures this go around - but he was tuckered out - so of course I had to play!
Look at those blue eyes! I love the little smile here!
He has this little man's jacket on - but the part I love the most in this picture are his sweet little hands!
There's nothing like a Mother's Love - and you can see it here!

Blue-eyed 1-yr old | Child photographer, Wilmington, NC

Let me introduce 1-yr old Little J. He has such a contagious smile and was so happy the entire time. We started out playing in his room.

And then moved into the living room for a while. They have this beautiful window seat in the dining room which made for a perfect spot!

And then we ventured outside. In hindsight, I think we could have done the whole session outside! As soon as we went out there - it started raining! We took cover under the trees and he couldn't have been any happier! Look at those eyes! Mom, this sweater is PERFECT for him.
I love the smirk here. I also love the almost translucent eye lashes. Melts my heart!
Can you say, "Sneaky" I love capturing expressions! What a cutie!
This was such a fun session! And guess what? There's going to be more from this family. Look forward to seeing some sneak peeks from a family session at the beach real soon!

She's 4 weeks old today! | Newborn Photographer, Carolina Beach NC

Well, yesterday (Wednesday), really - but still - isn't she just the sweetest thing?
She started off WIDE awake! So alert and absolutely beautiful!

Then she started to get a little sleeping.

But she was really fighting it!

After lots of waiting and work from her mom and myself - I managed to get a few pictures of her asleep. I love her little neck folds in this shot.
Shhhhhhh.

I can't wait to get through the rest! If you're peeking, don't forget to leave a comment!

Beautiful Family at Greenfield Lake | Wilmington Family Photographer

How refreshing! I love shooting at the beach, don't get me wrong, but there are so many beautiful places in the Wilmington Area. Greenfield Lake made the perfect backdrop for this beautiful family.

The "E" family was so fun! They were so relaxed, the kids were beyond good and seemed to enjoy themselves, too.

I loved seeing all the color around the lake. It's crazy that it's already December - the beautiful weather and fall colors makes it hard to believe it's almost winter. I guess that's what's nice about living where we do!

Miss "A" sure did have fun!

Happy 1st Birthday to Little "B" - could he be any cuter?

A little "Monkey Ride" with dad!

Meet Ella Grace - just 9 days old!

I love newborns, absolutely love newborns! I never know quite what to expect: awake, sleeping, crying, eating, fussing, refusing to be put down, etc. This time I was pleasantly surprised. Ali's beautiful baby girl was just perfection!!! She is beyond beautiful and so mellow. She really didn't seem to mind being adjusted and re-adjusted over and over again - and really did sleep just about the whole time. This never happens for me. This session I got so many keepers it was hard for me to narrow down what to put on the blog!

I got sleeping picturesAnd curled up picturesAnd sleepy sweet smile pictures with mom

Some playful pictures with Grandma (Ali's mom) while she was here helping out
And I was even able to get some pictures of big brother Nathan! So sweet!!!!

If you're stopping by - make sure to leave a comment - I love to read them and Mom's do, too!
